Every babysitter we've ever had has been a 'stranger' and it's TOUGH. I think I read at least 50 job apps, phone interviewed 20 ppl and personally interviewed 8 candidates for the main nanny job for Judah. It is HARD to find someone you think is going to love and care for your kid, BUT, they are out there. There truly are some amazing, loving, kind, honest, reliable, trustworthy nannies out there so don't despair.

I have to say though, it's harder to find someone part-time cuz there's a faster turnover rate with those. Part-time is inherently unstable (unless they're like a retired grandma kind of person) cuz they're always looking for something full-time. Good luck!Alice in Wonderlandhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11566311260826920486noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6374214322052565688.post-50754051066659040812013-04-03T14:43:55.297-07:002013-04-03T14:43:55.297-07:00Can I ask what your husban does that makes it so y...Can I ask what your husban does that makes it so you can't live in Seattle and have him commute, or even just find a job on this side of the water? Your life sounds like hell due to the commute. Do you ever regret giving up the local job? It's $30 a month or something, but I just paid for one month, found my nanny, and then cancelled.

Good luck. It should not be this hard in this country, but it is. Finding the best caregiver for your children has to be one of the most stressful decisions there is--on top of the stress of being mother in the legal profession! I hope Ryan is feeling better and that perhaps today is a work-from-home day for you. Kate Sherwoodhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14866427801446998151noreply@blogger.com
